Quarry Park Law presents at Calgary HempFest

Quarry Park Law presented at Calgary HempFest last weekend discussing Bill C-45/C-46 and some of the legal nuances surrounding the proposed legislation the weekend before Alberta announced its proposed provincial cannabis framework.
The presentation by QPL lawyers Alexander Kooiman and Jonathan Ablett was well attended and generated a number of discussions. Presentation attendees voiced a variety of opinions, questions and concerns surrounding the proposed cannabis law including medical and recreational access and distribution, announced and upcoming provincial frameworks, municipal bylaws and business licensing, new federal criminal restrictions and penalties under Bill C-45, availability of cannabis edibles, real estate and rental contract questions and federal and provincial framework restrictions.
Quarry Park Law presenter Alexander Kooiman was interviewed afterwards by the CBC regarding the legal aspects of Bill C-45 and the upcoming provincial cannabis framework for Alberta.
