Quarry Park Law to Present at Cannabis Canada 2017 on April 28-29, 2017
By Jonathan Ablett | April 18, 2017
Quarry Park Law has been asked to present at Cannabis Canada 2017 in Ottawa on April 28 and 29th in a session titled Charter of Rights and Freedom: Cannabis in the Workplace reviewing employer and employee rights.
Quarry Park Law continues to share its experience in this emerging practice area. With the tabling of the proposed Cannabis Act (Bill C) into Parliament last week, this conference and forums provide a serendipitous opportunity for the public and businesses to learn more about the industry, medical advances and legislative landscape.
The following is excerpted information on Cannabis Canada 2017, as provided by Cannabis Canada:
Cannabis Canada Association and Postmedia are pleased to announce the launch of “Cannabis Canada 2017” our “National Educational Conference & Business Opportunity Forum.” After consultation with Health Canada’s Office of Medical Cannabis and the Cannabis Legalization and Regulation Secretariat, we have positioned our program to address a number of the recommendations from the Final Report of The Task Force on Cannabis Legalization and Regulation.
Our 2017/2018 roll out will set the new standard for providing the business community and the public with the latest information on our licensed producers, medical advances, the legislative landscape, business opportunities, and personal freedoms under The Canadian Charter of Rights. Our mandate includes unprecedented coverage not only with major fall forums in Toronto and Vancouver, but also the secondary markets in Edmonton/Calgary, Regina/Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Montreal, Ottawa, and Halifax.
Ottawa’s Shaw Conference Centre will host our first Conference and Trade Show on April 28th and 29th. This was a conscious effort to showcase industry professionals, licensed producers, and associated suppliers to three levels of government, the business community and public in Ottawa. The first day of both programs will be industry focused educational sessions and trade show. The second day will provide free programming on the current status of the cannabis industry to the public. Exhibits will be restricted to companies operating within the current legal cannabis industry.
